The GISCHBERG curved bench meets every requirement in terms of comfort, stability and sustainability. The radius of the curved bench is determined by our clients and the local landscape. There are no limitations due to ‘standard dimensions’. This makes it an ideal place to meet or rest – whether as a park bench in public spaces or as a wooden bench around a tree.
You can choose from a wide range of designs and variants, such as a half-circle, an S-shape or a round bench for a tree. Our GISCHBERG is available with or without a backrest or armrests, and you are free to choose both the number and position of them.
As a stool bench without a backrest, the GISCHBERG offers the advantage of being able to sit on it from both sides. It is a simple, affordable and stable bench that gives planners complete freedom in terms of form and length. And if you limit the design to two or three different radii, you can benefit from a lower price per metre.
Our curved bench also offers maximum freedom when it comes to the type of wood. Oak and larch are the most popular ones, but other types are also possible, such as acacia, Douglas fir, ash or beech. As for all our bentwood products, we work with Swiss wood. The surface can be natural or oiled.
The GISCHBERG curved bench follows the principle of structural wood protection – the right type of wood is chosen for the respective application. The design prevents water from collecting and allows the wood to dry quickly. The curved bench therefore requires no maintenance and has a very long service life. And if a seat slat should ever break, we can replace it quickly and easily.
The brackets are made of flat steel – either powder-coated, hot-dip galvanised or stainless. All RAL colours are available for powder coating. For uneven floors, we recommend the version with feet. By using legs of different lengths, we ensure that the seat of the curved bench remains perfectly level for optimal seating comfort.
